Many individuals use their camping chairs when they have family and friends over for a cookout or other gathering. They can be found with built-in footstools as well as cup holders built into the arms of the camping chairs. Caution is needed against using the holders for hot beverages as the slightest bump can cause the liquid to spray out onto the person sitting in the chair.

We didn't actually try out the family camping tents until we gets to our campsite. This was a bad idea as well. Camping gear is not that hard to use once you get used to it, but the first time it can take a while. In our case, we did not get into the campground still somewhat late. It was the evening when we started setting up the family camping tent, figuring that it would only take about 10 minutes. One half an hour later it was not put together, it started getting stressful. We ended up eating cold beans out of the can. When we finally crowded into the tent, hopelessly huddled together, we were all miserable. Although we have had better camping trip since then, the first trip with that family camping tent was not a lot of fun.

In case you weren’t able to reserve a slot for your trip or the place where you plan to camp does not allow reservations, the best thing you can do is to arrive at the camp site early, as such places that do not allow reservations usually follow a first-come, first-serve rule.

Laundry is another consideration when living outdoors. Mini washing machines and dryers will keep the family in clothes and camping supplies should also include a clothes line or airer that can be attached to the tent. Don't forget the pegs. Campers may want the use of a heater on chilly nights. There are lots to choose from and they have safety features to ensure that they don't overheat and the thermostat cuts out if knocked over. Toilet facilities are the more mundane aspects of camping supplies but a necessary concern. There is a wide range of portable and chemical toilets on the market.
