My husband’s band had a festival that they played each year, and we would get free camping sites so that we did not have to drive back and forth if we did not want to. If we had been camping in a camper, it might have been okay. However, we were in tents, and there was no shade to speak of anywhere near our site. This meant we were roasted out of our tent by eight in the morning. So much for my one chance to sleep in.

You can have a meal when you want and the kids can make friends with other kids on the campsite. No one minds a bit of noise, as long as they are tucked up in bed at a reasonable hour.
